Minuet is from MJ's 1967 home demos. I don't know the composer. He only had "Minuet" written on the box. I wish he had continued to perform classical pieces.

Garbage Can. Demo. The first concert recording I have of this is from 1971 and he continued to perform it so it's one of his longest performing concert songs. Gary Gauger thought this was a demo for his next album after Breeze. But since there are 3 songs on that tape which appeared on Breeze, i think it was a demo for that album, not FAYMM. I have many recordings/videos of this song but I had never heard it in a non-concert setting. Of course it's missing the "Guitar solo!" part. And the "If you think you've reached the bottom, just look down" prologue.

Got You Covered w/alternate ending YT Audio. Which version do you prefer?
https://youtu.be/3GxLtz4o5e4
This is from a There is a Breeze "almost final" tape. Also included is Rooty Toot Toot For the Moon without MJ's laugh at the end, Pilot Me, My Opening Farewell, and See You Soon. I'm not sure there are differences between the almost final and the final. If anyone would like to give these a listen, please contact me.

Acapulco
https://youtu.be/jaQgPzC0NXg
In Concert, Queen City Balladeers Wise Owl Coffeehouse, U of Cincinnati 1970
Songwriter: Michael Peter Smith
I always knew it as Acapulco 1967 and could find not evidence that Michael Smith wrote it until now. In 1970, Smith was in a group called Juarez and in 1970 they released an album which is the same year MJ sang this in concert. I've uploaded their version if you'd like to check it out.

Bummer that MJ left out the castenets.
Michael Smith also wrote The Wonderful World of Sex and You Sure Have Got a Pretty Nice Bod. Also Steve Goodman's The Dutchman and Spoon River. In 2005, Michael shared Smith's song with me: Fred the Talking Frog. It's delightful - check it out if you can find it. (If you can't, here it is: https://www.mjblue.com/songs/05%20Fred%2...20Frog.mp3)
MJ sang Acapulco on This Must Be The Place, WCCO-TV in the Twin Cities in the early 70's. Sure would be nice to get the video of that.

Children of the Wars
in Concert
I found this sound on an iPod MJ had borrowed from me for a while.
He had it labeled as at the Earl of Old Town written by Greg Brown but I just can't find proof Greg wrote it. It's circa the early 70's. The sound isn't the greatest at times but I really like this song. Amazing guitar, too. I admit I don't understand all that's going on in it.
Your thoughts?
